Dear Summer Fun Lovers:
Here is just a quick note to keep you thinking about diving before I leave on my
two weeks of back to back travel. Our office will be closed from July 6-23 with
all of the Easy Diver staff dive traveling or family vacationing. We hope you
are lucky enough to be doing the same. I will have limited access to email and
cell phone on Friday the13th and will do my best to return messages for any
pressing concerns that cannot wait until I get back in the office on July 24. I
am not quite ready yet, but with the addtion of a great compact notebook
computer and my digital camera I will soon include all of you in our adventures
by sending our trip photos straight to the website to tease you. Of course
having the technology and learning how to use it are two different things, just
know that I will be moving forward in a way to make you feel like you are
traveling right along beside us. Of course I really wish you would be with us
in person, this is for those times you just cannot be. The only thing better
than diving and traveling is thinking, talking, and daydreaming about them.
Other good news for Easy Divers is that in addition to our Staff Instructors:
Bob "Professor" Sweeney and Frankie "Da Fish" Benedetti, we have a new
Instructor on board. Alan McNulty has joined our Easy Divers Staff as of July
1. You will see him at the pool, in class, and on our trips as a co group
leader starting right away. We are always excited to add new energy to our
training staff and new classes to our monthly roster. Stand by for picture and
biography on our website later this month.
I am currently looking to book some dive trips for late this year and next
year. Our DM candidate Geoff Wood is currently in Trinidad and Tobago checking
out the diving and touring opportunities there. I am also considering an
adventure trip to Costa Rica with an optional dive add on and the Red Sea with
some optional land tours to the pyramids. Your ideas, requests, or suggestions
are needed and welcome. Please email me back with your thoughts.

and caring staff. We meet for five combination pool/classroom sessions which
provide more than enough time for skill development in our small, intimate

SEAL TEAM, Phase 1 - $175 Tuition and Seal Team Crew Pak
(Aquamission Activity Book, video, logbook, membership card, certificate and
decal)
PADI Seal Team is a pool scuba program designed for kids eight and older. This
elite diving team provides all kinds of challenges and learning opportunities as
kids spend time completing their underwater Aquamissions. The Seal Team Program
is divided into four phases and each phase meets for four combination
classroom/pool sessions. Phase I teaches basic scuba skills and behavior as the
kids earn their membership on the Team.
Each student must have mask & snorkel, fins, anti-fog, and gear bag. Not only
is it important to have gear that suits each student's individual needs, but
taking care of, and keeping up with this gear is the first step towards diving
responsibility. We will teach parents and kids how to select the proper
equipment during Seal Team pre-registration.
PST #1 Meets 1:00 - 3:00 PM on Mon, Wed, Fri begins July 25
Pre-registration is required, class enrollment deadline is July 15
TRAVEL SAVVY
Our US Passport office is completely inundated with passport application
requests as a result of the new laws that went into affect in January 2007.
This coupled with the fact that our local processing office in New Orleans is
still not back in operation after Hurricane Katrina, means that planning ahead
is an absolute necessity. I strongly suggest that anyone planning for
International travel immediately begin the application process AND pay the extra
$60 for expediting. In the scheme of life, the expediting upcharge more than
pays for itself with the peace of mind in knowing that you will have proper

How delicious will it be to float around on one of Arkansas' most beautiful
lakes diving and playing when the rest of the world toils! We leave at 7:00 AM
and return home by dark. Trip fee includes: pool practice session, customized
itinerary, staff supervision, and boat fees. Gear rental fees and PADI
certification cards are separate.

PAYMENT: Due in full at time of reservation, deadline is 5:00 PM two weeks prior
to event date to avoid $10 late fee.

TRIP DEADLINE CLARIFICATION
All of our trips have a listed deadline. We need a minimum number of six
participants for a trip to run as scheduled. The deadline helps us to confirm
that there is enough interest to keep the trip on the books. As long as we
have six people the trip will run. We encourage you to call for availability
if you would like to sign up after the deadline has passed. Often times we can
add you on up until just a few days prior to departure on the local trips. If

Our favorite live aboard dive experience has just a few spaces left for our fall
trip. Eat, sleep, dive, play - REPEAT. Advanced diver and Specialty training
will be available. This is a great way to get a lot of dives and a lot of
experience in a little time. Calling all adventurers, two spaces remain!

AUSTRALIA
Our former Staff Instructor just returned from Australia and has the up to date
and hot information on diving that I have been waiting for to put the finishing
touches on an Easy Divers trip. As a result of taking extra time to find the
perfect dive operators for our needs, it is too late for us to have a trip put
together for this November. There is great interest in going and I am asking
for suggestions on another week that might meet the needs of my VIP down under
travelers. Keep in mind that the seasons are reversed. What do you think about
March which would be their fall? As soon as I hear from those of you that are
interested, I will complete the travel contracts, revise a final budget and
collect traveler deposits.

A repeat of our August trip with accommodations at the sister property: Indigo
Reef and our own private 21 foot boat parked in front of our Marina home.

FEBRUARY 2008 MANATEES
Presidents' Day Week
This is our annual trek to interact with gentle giants. After last years most
incredible experiences with manatees and dolphins, we just have to go back.
Final trip budget and date is pending the publishing of the villa rates for
