Dear Scuba Divers and Wanna Bes:
Wow, things are certainly getting busy around the pool deck and none too
soon. Our local dive season kicks off this month with our trip to Rock Divesr
in Alabama, followed by our holiday weekend jaunt up to Martha's Quarry in
Nashville. We had a blast on our trip to Florida last month and really
enjoyed the fun of having time to hang around outdoors. Our late afternoon
dives afforded us the opportunity to have Vortex all to ourselves and we loved
the verandah sitting and late night bonfire story and joke telling. Our great
times on trip are partly because we like diving and mainly because divers are
such fun, entertaining folks. With this in mind, we always like to sneak
some local activites in so we can enjoy being together. Please join Easy
Divers local divers in attending a Redbirds game on Monday night May 16. We
are planning on meeting outside the box office between 6:00 and 6:15 PM to
organize and buy tickets together. It is Bobblehead night, so we are getting
there a little early for a 7:00 o'clock game, but it makes sense on a

TRAINING
DISCOVER SCUBA & SCUBA FITNESS - $15 pre-registered and $20 at the door.
Mondays: May 9 & 23 at 7:00 PM or by appointment.
Try out diving, play, practice, or brush up on your skills under the
supervision of an Easy Diver Staff member. It really is important to call and
reserve your space so I can be absolutely sure to have gear available for
you. It is the time of year where everything we have, is going in for annual
inspection and repairs so our gear supplies may be limited.
PADI SEAL TEAM - PHASE I I- $100
PHASE II Seal Team is open to all PADI Seal Team Members. We will be working
on our fun specialty Aquamissions 6-10 over the course of four Saturdays. All
students must have their own mask, fins & gearbag.
PST #1, PH2 Saturdays at 10:30, May 7, 14, 21, & 28
OPEN WATER SCUBA CLASS - $335
Learn to dive in comfort in our warm 87 degree pool. Our small, intimate
classes make learning easy and fun. Students must have their own snorkeling
gear and gear bag. Open water training dives 1-4 can be held on any of our
Easy Diver sponsored trips, or you may be referred to any PADI instructor in
the world. Travel fees and Open Water equipment rental are separate charges
and vary according to destination.

For maximum pampering and schedule flexibility, private and semiprivate
classes are always available for an additional fee.
ADVANCED & ADVENTURE DIVER
This fun class is open to any certified Jr. or Open Water divers. It is great
to gain additional experience in specialty areas like: navigation, wreck,
photography, buoyancy, night, deep, computer, enriched air, and marine ID by
taking the next level in our PADI Continuing Education program. Five more
dives under supervision really ups the confidence level of all divers, while
providing some recognition for challenges met. Everyone traveling on our
summer slate of International trips will find it easy and worthwhile to
complete these training dives while visiting our vacation destination.

This quarry is a short little jaunt south and is a blast to dive and explore
because of all the cool castoffs from the space station in Huntsville. The
water will still be a little chilly, but it should not keep us from completing
that training or getting the winter cobwebs off that gear. Trip fee includes:
two days diving entry fees, airfills, customized itineracy and packing list
and dinner Saturday night.

This has been one of our favorite quarries for a long time. It is easy to get
to and fun to dive. Enjoy Memorial Day activities with your hometown family
and friends for the first part of the weekend and then leave with us on Sunday
