Dear Friends & Funseekers:
I just love the fall in Memphis.  Although it is an end to our summertime travel and fun, it can also be a time out to reflect and relax before the busy holiday season gets underway.  I always like to have a bit of reflection and moment of gratitude for all the adventures had, lessons learned, and experiences that have shaped who we are.  Take just a moment to be grateful, to reach out, and to enjoy just where you are and what you have achieved up to this time.  Start your fall with a light step and happy heart and know that I appreciate each and every one of you.  Without my students, clients, and friends, nothing I do would make very much sense.  Thank you!

TO KNOW
If you are going to travel in and out of the US, you will need a passport.  Good news:
The US State Department said late last week that it has returned its passport processing turnaround to standard service levels: six to eight weeks for regular applications and three weeks maximum for expedited applications.  Take the time now to fill out your application, get your pictures made, and get into the US Post Office for processing.  No procrastinating allowed.

Our indoor pool at Well Worx is currently undergoing a face lift and is nothing more than a hole in the deck.  Resurfacing should be complete by the middle of the month.  Please be sure to call and confirm your class before heading over.  This construction WILL impact the Discover Scuba, Scuba Fitness, and Open Water classes.  Any questions, please call us at 901-753-2926.

TO HAVE FUN & MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Save the date: Sunday, October 14th
Triple Header - movie, park picnic, and Heifer International Fund Raiser
We all seem to really enjoy each others company, so we have been thinking of ways to have fun at home as well as on dive trips.  What do you think about going together to Deep Sea the newest IMAX® underwater adventure?  It is a wonderful journey beneath the ocean's surface to exotic locations around the globe to meet some of the most strange and exotic creatures on the planet. By attending the 4:00 PM showing, we will still have time to bring along a picnic lunch and enjoy some social time at Overton Park after the show.  Please visit: www.heifer.org to see the ways that we can help end hunger and save the earth.  I ask that everyone bring a personal check and solicit at least one more donation so that we may purchase a: New Beginning Basket, Promise Basket, Hope Basket, and Dream Basket.  All checks are to be made out to Heifer International.  Once we pool our money we will decide together which baskets are to be purchased and by doing so we will share some of our good fortune and prosperity.  Don't forget to bring your favorite picnic, beverage, and lawn chair or blanket.  See you at the Pink Palace!  Please call for park meeting place if you will be joining us AFTER the movie.  In case of rain we will go to the movie and then on to CiCi's pizza instead of the park.

TRAVEL TIPS
Program the phone numbers of all of your important contacts before leaving home.  Include: credit card company, airline, hotel, and In Case of Emergency numbers.  Also email yourself a copy of the first page of your passport so that you can retrieve it in the unlikely event your passport goes MIA during one of your travel adventures.  It will be much easier to get a replacement from the local embassy if you can access this info.

TRAVELTIME
Please remember that your trip deposit is a PROMISE that you will participate.   Our staff is engaged and reservations made to include you, therefore deposits cannot be refunded.   Please see our website for our full cancellation policy.

TRIP DEADLINE CLARIFICATION
All of our trips have a listed deadline.   We need a minimum number of six participants for a local trip to run as scheduled.   The deadline helps us to confirm that there is enough interest to keep the trip on the books.   As long as we have six people for a trip, it will run as planned.   We encourage you to call for availability if you would like to sign up after the deadline has passed.   Often times we can add you on up until just a few days prior to departure on the local trips.   If in doubt, CALL US!
