Trip Deadline Clarification
All of our trips have a listed deadline. We need a minimum number of six participants for a trip to run as scheduled. The deadline helps us to confirm that there is enough interest to keep the trip on the books. As long as we have six people the trip will run. We encourage you to call for availability if you would like to sign up after the deadline has passed. Often times we can add you on up until just a few days prior to departure on the local trips. If in doubt, CALL US!
TRAVEL SAVVY
If you are going to travel in and out of the US, you will need a
passport. Good news:
The US State Department said late last week that it has returned its
passport processing turnaround to standard service levels: six to eight
weeks for regular applications and three weeks maximum for expedited
applications. Take the time now to fill out your application, get your
pictures made, and get into the US Post Office for processing. No
procrastinating allowed.
TRAVEL TIP
Program the phone numbers of all of your important contacts before leaving home. Include: credit card company, airline, hotel, and In Case of Emergency numbers. Also email yourself a copy of the first page of your passport so that you can retrieve it in the unlikely event your passport goes MIA during one of your travel adventures. It will be much easier to get a replacement from the local embassy if you can access this info.
TRAVEL INSURANCE
If you can afford to lose your entire trip payment, STOP reading this
now. For most of us however, we plan and save to make our vacation
dreams come true and if family illness, bad weather, or other unforseen
circumstances were to keep us from our trip we would want to be
reimbursed. Travelex
Insurance has several affordable plans to meet our needs. Please
visit: www.travelex-insurance.com and read their top ten reasons:
Why Buy . When you are ready to purchase your plan, use our record
locator # 42-0002, you may leave the agent code section blank. Once your
transaction is completed a copy of your confirmation will be sent to me
and I will put it into your travel file. Also take a copy with you so
you will have contact phone numbers should the need arise. A little time
and attention to purchasing travel insurance can make all the difference
if the unexpected happens.

Please stay tuned, I am in the midst of updating our International dive trips and will send out an additional note as soon as they are ready for viewing. In the meantime be thinking about: an Alaskan cruise, a Mexican resort, the British Virgins Islands, live aboard sailboats, and a once in a lifetime trip to Australia and Tahiti. Not bad thoughts for a cold winter day in the States!

PLAN AHEAD FOR NEXT YEAR
January 2009
LITTLE CAYMAN
Nothing like a winter escape to paradise. Generally we take advantage of the Martin Luther King Day holiday to plan our first get wet / get sun trip of the year. The Cayman islands are one of our diving meccas. If you have never visited before, you are in for a treat. The reason for selecting the 'LITTLE' Cayman is its close proximity to the world famous Bloody Bay Wall. Please visit: www.littlecayman.com and let me know if you would prefer the all inclusive stay at Little Cayman Beach resort or a stay at one of the two sister condo properties.
March 2009
TURKS & CAICOS
Spring Break week, we are currently looking at both an all inclusive property (BEACHES) and private waterfront condo rental. Please email me with your vote on whether you would prefer an all-inclusive where all accommodations, transfers, meals, beverages, adult beverages, non-motorized water sports, nightly entertainment, and diving are included. Or if you would prefer to stay in an ocean front condo and buy groceries and pay for meals and drinks as we go along.
July 2009
THE SPIRIT, Carnival Cruise
7 day Alaska Northbound Glacier Route
Big ship cruising is still one of the best and most affordable ways to see a lot of different places conveniently in one week. Stay tuned for details. The earlier we book, the more bonus amenities I can secure for us.
Summer & Fall 2009
THE JULIET
Stay tuned for more details, we will have at least two charters, but
there is talk of moving the boat to some new home ports so that we can

possibilities that have been mentioned and will clue you in just as soon
as the owner makes the move official.

All initial trip deposits may be made with a credit card, intermediate payments and final payments will be accepted in cash or check without exception.
