DAN DIVING EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PROVIDER

No matter what goal you are pursuing in diving, you will be more well rounded and more prepared with additional safety related training. This course teaches you to respond quickly and confidently to the unexpected safety issues that although unlikely, may present themselves. Upon completion of all four sections, you will be certified as a DAN DEMP provider. Refresher courses will be offered to keep your skills current and in practice.

Students earn a certification card for each individual Phase, and then a DEMP card when they complete all four.  The posted fees include the student barrier kit, emergency slate, and certification card.

What will you learn?

Phase 1: Basic Life Support, CPR, AED, and First Aid – this is required for PADI Rescue Diver and Divemaster
Phase 2: Oxygen Administration
Phase 3:  Neurological Assessment
Phase 4:  First Aid for Hazardous Marine Life Injuries

EMERGENCY FIRST RESPONSE TRAINING

Emergency First Response training focuses on building confidence in lay rescuers, and increasing their willingness to respond when faced with a medical emergency. Course participants learn simple to follow steps for emergency care, and practice applying skills in a nonstressful learning environment. All courses are supported by self-study manuals, videos and quick reference cards to enhance learning and allow you start learning right away.

EFR courses meet the CPR and first aid training requirements for the PADI Rescue Diver course and all professional-level ratings. The EFR course is based on internationally recognized medical guidelines for emergency care. Student materials include: CPR and Primary Care Manuals, Emergency Care at a Glance Card, and Certification Card good for two years.
